Researchers looking for approximate counts of diagnoses, procedures and other inpatient activities can use the routinely published Hospital Admitted Patient Care Activity statistics from NHS Digital. These open data tables provide annual, national-level summaries of hospital activity in England, including breakdowns by diagnosis, procedure, age, sex and others. While not available at the individual level, they are a useful reference for understanding overall patterns of admitted patient care.
